Wet Bulb Widget is a simple weather app. This page explains what data it uses and why.
Location. When you choose “Use Current Location,” the app requests your device’s precise location to look up the weather (temperature and humidity) at that spot, so it can calculate and display the current wet bulb temperature. You can also skip this entirely and manually search for a city or address instead — location access is never required to use the app.
Weather data. Temperature and humidity readings for your chosen location(s) are fetched from Apple’s WeatherKit service and cached on your device so the app can show recent trends alongside the forecast.
Your saved locations, temperature unit preference, and recent weather history are stored locally on your device, in a container shared between the app and its Home Screen/Lock Screen widget so they can stay in sync. This data is never transmitted to us and never leaves your device except in the weather lookup requests described above, which go directly to Apple.
Weather data is provided by Apple Weather. Location search uses Apple Maps. Both are governed by Apple’s own privacy policies for those services.
